Bible says, we should love each another, and understanding each other.

Every different country, every different places, every different people, every different eras, has different kind of culture and philosophy. Therefore, we use our target audience’s languages and cultures to speak to them. Same thing in music, we don’t use English music, to teach china’s natives sing in their own language. NO WAY!

We don’t use the way we talk in the church, to talk with the outsiders, because they might not understand us.

We don’t use the way we talk with the old people, to talk with the teenagers.

When we leads children pray, If we pray like this, O God, please teach us and whip us. Whoa, I think the children will cry… They already scared of whip, and you some more asking God to whip them.

We don’t force pork lover not to eat pork.

We don’t force smokers to stop smoking before he/she accept Christ. (I’m sure after he/she accepted Christ, the Holy Spirit will guide him/her stop smoking)

There are many, many mores examples out there…
Will share with you in other days… There are many cool stories out there.

What’s the purpose of Music Ministry?
5 Ms, Magnificent, Members, Maturity, Ministry, Mission.

Magnificent – To worship God
Bring Christians praise and worship to our God. Mainly are in the Sunday Worship Service.

Many of the people confuse, what songs to sing on Sunday service, what’s the different of the hymns and hillsongs…etc etc… actually is doesn’t matter whether hymns or hillsongs, it’s about the song itself. Does the song brings you worship our God? There is only one week once that we can gather together to worship our God (on our Sabbath day).

Songs that are meant for fellowship, is actually not suitable to put into our Sunday Worship Service. In the Sunday service, our target of worship or singing is our God, not members.

Members – Fellowship between the members/ Christians
To bring the Christians gather together, unite the Christians/members

Some songs are only suitable for fellowship sessions like the youth fellowship, or care group / cell group.etc. These songs can bring us unity, love each other, and always remind us that we are family.

Maturity – Teaching
Teach Christian to become like Christ and strengthen members/Christians’ spiritual lives, by using music. Teach them how to fulfill the purposes (5 Ms) by using music / songs. Teach them the songs so that these songs will help them in their daily lives. These songs can be used in any place any time.

Ministry – Serving God
Serve God by using our spiritual gift.

Some people are gifted to lead congregation worship God.
Some people are gifted to brings the Christians come together to have fellowship.
Some people are gifted to teach.
Some people are gifted to train the trainers.
Some people are gifted to sing in the choir
Some people are gifted to compose songs
Some people are gifted to perform music
……
……
……

Mission – Spread the gospel to the non-Christians
These songs are usually meant for mission. Touch the non-Christians hearts by using songs/ music.

It’s a circle, we build relationship with God and Christians, then we nurturing/ teaching each other, so that some people may serve in music ministry, and reach out to non-Christian by using Christian music.

我其实领唱不会很多次，我看大概只有十次左右而已。这次是我觉得领得最好的一次。我今天再一次拿出来听，有被感动到。当然听了，发现到有很多地方需要加强的，好像发声要更小心一点，因为我们教会的monitor是废的，所以我们永远都听不到自己的声音，所以以后发音的时候，不能用喊的>_<...因为我一直以为他们听不到。还好我这次有录下来，要不然我都不知道我的声音在领唱的时候是那么难听的。

我们在崇拜诗歌颂赞的时间只有大概15分钟。这次的P&W有一点跟以往不同，这次是我第一次教我的back-up做简单的和声，也是我第一次没有穿插圣诗（如果你由注意的话，我每次都会穿插至少一首圣诗）。有和声的感觉真得很不一样咯。所以我觉得back-up singer真的很重要。

还有司琴也是，在教会，我真的不知道要去那里发掘像盈盈这么好的司琴。。。盈盈啊！！！ 快点回来！！！ 我每次找不到司琴T_T...在这次的P&W, 有些地方我的back-up不是很熟，有些地方他们做不到的，盈盈就一边弹一边帮我们唱呢。

大家有没有发现到我的教会是没有drum的？hehehehehe....有的，在楼下的英文堂有而已。因为中文堂执事会反对教会用drum。所以咯。。。 很难找到让我不会气到吐血的司琴！有几个人能弹unplug? 然后还要我们用unplug带动群众唱contemporary christian song。好笑咯。。。执事会在想什么我都不懂。

我不知道要唱哪一个版本才好。
相信你们都有听过“爱是不保留”这首歌。我以前听到一位姐妹说，在香港，差不多每一个婚礼他们都会唱这首歌。但是后来我发现到，原来“爱是不保留”还有另为一个婚礼版本，那就是“我信爱是恒久”。

所以，这首歌总共有4种版本！

So, 现在问题来了，我想在我哥哥的婚礼唱这首歌，shh....是保密的。
我以前有找到一个“爱是不保留”的 Minus 1 (karaoke)版本。但是我在想，我哥的婚礼是用英文进行，虽然大多数是华人，但也有一些马来人、印度人和“香蕉”人。So, 照理来说，应该唱英文版的比较适合吧。单英文版本的又没有婚礼版wo... 不过我想是ok的。你们说呢？

1- 我没有Minus 1 版本，如果用钢琴来伴奏的话，不够feel wo...
2- 在这个4个版本当中，我要唱哪一个版本好呢？

我很难很难才找到的drummer 伟章 和 pianist 文贵...


找不到guitarist T_T, 因为我教会的弟兄姐妹都在当晚有团契。所以咯。。你们以后不要随随便便postpone嘛。。。



当晚当Elssy的back-up... :D。恭喜她进入决赛。虽然没拿到奖，无所谓，他的歌对我来说很好听就可以了:D...


我本来是不想参加的。。。 因为我觉得我的歌不好听。哈哈哈。。。可能是因为我自己都不偏爱流行的音乐。。。但我能接受，也有一些流行音乐我也喜欢（但不偏爱）。而且歌词也写得不是很好，因为我从来没有写过歌词T_T.... 华文又不够好。。。所以我很简单地把我现在面临的问题写出来。

歌词：人就是这样咯，明明有个上帝可以求告，但却时常依靠自己的聪明行事，然后才来整天讲做得不够好。人若没有信靠上帝，肯定是不会被满足的。。。

后来给几个朋友听了，他们说ok，不错，蛮好听的。叫我参加。
然后我又想到，我们雪州教区没有代表，嗯，就想怎样都挤一首上去吧。

但后来又有点后悔了。。。哈哈哈哈哈，因为找不到乐手！我的教会当晚也有团契，所以我的兄弟姐妹们都帮不到我T_T.... 有些又有考试。。。所以不能帮我。。
多可怜啊。。 hehehe

结果我就千辛万苦找到了Tj Sepat 堂的两位弟兄当我的drummer和pianist，但是因为他们都在Kelana Jaya & Puchong 做工，而我住在Klang，所以我们没时间一起见面、练习。我们是唯一一组在比赛当天才练习的。T_T....

我们那天特地早一点到Kepong堂去练习。真佩服伟章弟兄和文贵弟兄，他们真是太棒了！连我的朋友们都称赞他们呢。。。谢谢你们啊！

嗯，比赛之前我的CG member问我有没有信心进入决赛，我说，最主要是我的心意，有没有进决赛是不重要的。

你们想不想知道当天的评判给我什么评语？哈哈哈哈 hmmm...
我简单地用point form写出来。我只写大point, 小point 我不写了

1- 没想到，你还蛮会唱的（流行唱法）。

当然啦，她时常都在choir camp, conducting camp, vocal workshop 看到我古典的一面。hehehe
其实我一直都认为我常流行歌很难听的，我始终比较会唱的是”美声唱法" （古典的）。不过竟然她这样称赞我...我会再接再厉啦。。。

2- 你的歌有点像是在pub、lounge, 的地方唱的。
哈哈哈，我一开始有点吃惊，但是后来有点暗爽，因为我这首歌的target audience —— 是给教会外面的青年人。所以我才会写到这样的节奏嘛。。。教会的uncle auntie哪里会这样的节奏。

3- 教会有一点不能接受这样流行的音乐，你的歌如果要用来给会众唱的话，就有点不适合。
我领唱这么多年，这我也知道，我又没说我写这首歌是要在教会给会众唱的 >_<... 有些歌是用来听的嘛。。。

4- 让人有surprise的感觉。

评审还问我是不是接触很多流行音乐。。 kakaka....你在我房间时肯定找不到任何流行音乐CD的咯。。。Classical就一大堆，但我有一些“流行”Christian songs MP3，好像约书亚的。。。


别人对我的歌评价是什么？
有些人说好听，当然也有人说不好听的。。。（好像我。哈哈）
有些人说像日本流行歌
有些人说我的歌有点Broadway... 舞台剧
也有人说我的歌很Classical
也有人说我的歌很像怪胎
也有人说我的歌被流行音乐影响很深（哈哈，我自己都没什么听流行音乐。。。）
就是这样。。。

我下一首歌会几时出来。。。 哈哈哈。我也不知道，但我想试试看写 A cappella...
